The Role
The Cook/Catering Assistant is an integral and valued member of the wider Kitchen Team and will work closely with the Chef Supervisor and other key staff members.
About the Role:
- Hands on with food preparation in all areas of the kitchen following standard recipes and correct techniques and ensuring a high standard in quality.
- Cooking, storing and disposing of food according to policy guidelines, including but not limited to adequate temperature requirements.
- Ensuring refrigeration temperatures guidelines are met, documented and corrected where required.
- Ensuring at all times cleanliness within the Kitchen is met in line with required standards and policies.
- Meeting all HACCP standards and Food Safety Plan Policies and Procedures including completing required administrative tasks as directed.
- Act to cover and support the Chef Supervisor when required and in their absence.
- Assisting in maintaining all areas and equipment under kitchen jurisdiction at the optimum level of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assisting the Chef Supervisor in stock rotation and ordering.
